#gogreen42012 make a paper container for planting using old newspapers wrapped around a tin can.
Thank you so much very informative and yay you dont need that expensive pot maker to make these.
Most newspapers use vegetable inks now. Newspapers are perfectly fine for organic gardening. They're used in No Dig Gardens and with Vermicomposting too.
Thankyou i will try this i was very impressed with how quickly the seeds germinated.....
I was thinking to use the duct tape before it's put into the ground. Just a temporary container for the seedling. I mentioned stability since paper gets wet and weak, also water/moisture evaporates through the paper creating a greater need for water.
If you bury the pots, how are we supposed to be able to read it then???
Look up capillary action, it soaks up the water from the bottom and brings it up through the paper and soil. Water when the paper is almost dry again.
I didn't get it completely. You put 1/2 inch of water and it will soak all the way too the top? How often do you water the plants.
that works for the US but in france for example, the ink s not clean....
I am guessing that the thickness of the newspaper will determine how fast they will break down and fall apart? Make them thin, or thick depending on what your need is. There is no doubt that he has got it figured out and what I see is a great video. Thanks Kevin
